Table Tennis Player

Lily Zhang was born in Palo Alto, California (1996). She began playing table tennis at age seven when her father introduced her to the sport. A twelve-year-old Zhang turned into the youngest player to be on the US Women's Team. In 2012, she went to the London Olympics as a member of the USA Table Tennis Team, and was the youngest player in the table tennis competition. Two years later, she became the first US athlete to win bronze in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. She is currently enrolled in UC Berkeley and is taking a gap year off to train for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
