Connie Lim
Singer
Connie Lim was born in Hollywood and raised in Palos Verdes, California. Her parents wanted her to be a lawyer or doctor, but she followed her dream to be a singer. Lim began writing music on her piano at age eight, and while enrolled as a pre-med student at UC Berkeley, she played piano in the dormitory basement and sang between study breaks. Lim writes about her survival of anorexia and childhood abuse, and she sings for the underdogs, as in her song entitled “The Hunted,” an anthem for gays in Uganda.
