QUOTE: I was the chairman of the Third World Liberation Front during the Strike at San Francisco State College in 1969. Afterwards I became the Associate Director of San Francisco State's Upward Bound Program. Collectively, Art Walker, Tony Miranda, and later Raul Ortega and I established this program which catered to the needs of disadvantaged and underrepresented students of color from San Francisco.
